Is it Christmas Yet...I'm making Christmas Cards!

Today’s blog post is a sketch challenge from http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/ CCMC162.  The sketch challenges have been so much fun for me; I love having new layouts to try.  The Stampin’ UP! Holiday Mini Catalog is coming out on September 1st and as a demonstrator, I have the wonderful privilege of having access to buying the products in advance so today I played with my new toys!

In preparing for my September class which will be using the Holiday Mini Catalog products, I decided to use this sketch challenge to make a Christmas card.  Stampin’ UP! has a new Stocking Builder Punch and coordinating Stitched Stocking Stamp Set, which are so adorable I had to have them!  Our new Velvet Stitched Ribbon has such wonderful texture, it really adds to the card. I hope you like my creation:).

As a workshop giveaway and thank-you to my loyal customers, I made these little favors to go along with the cards.

These are made with the new 1"x8" Cellophane Bags from the 2011-2012 Holiday Mini Catalog. I used the Stitched Stockings Stamp Set along with the Decorative Label Punch and Scallop Circle Punch.  I found these Candy Sticks at our local ice cream and candy shop.

Here are a couple other cards I am experimenting with:

The fire place idea is from http://jackietopa.typepad.com/.

How To: I cut a bunch of pieces of Crumb Cake Cardstock at 1/2"x3/4" then brushed the sides against a Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad.  The "flames" are done using the Blossom Petals Builder Punch.

This was a first attempt at a Shaker Card.  Our new Circle Shaker frames make this so easy!  Fun:).
