CAS Fall Card

When I think of fall, I think of my 4-year old daughter playing outside in the leaves and trees.  This year she has really discovered climbing trees.  In making a fall card for the The Friday Mashup fall challenge #24 and the Clean and Simple with an Animal or Plant #64 at The Paper Players, I decided to use the Forever Young Stamp Set from Stampin' UP!.  The little girl on the swing reminds me of my little girl who adores being outside whenever possible.  The images from this set are so intricate and beautiful.

When I began this project, my intention was to use Bravo Burgundy, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze for the colors.  As I was stamping the image and then textured it, I realized I really liked the card as monochromatic so it ended up only being Very Vanilla and Bravo Burgundy.

Design Hint:  As I am slowing adding to my stampin' supplies, I don't have ribbon and embellishments in every color.  To solve this little issue, I took Crumb Cake Seam Binding and colored it with the brush side of a Bravo Burgundy Marker and VOILA matching ribbon:). To attach the seam binding, I used Tombow Glue as double-sided tape wasn't sticking to the colored ribbon.

Don't forget to look at the other projects for these challenges!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
