1 Design - 2 cards

As I was working on a card for a challenge, Hand Stamped Sentiments Clean and Simple #83, I realized my card was turning out a lot like another challenge this week.  The Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge, CCMC166, was extremely similar to the card I was making.  Therefore, I decided to take my Clean and Simple Card and add some embellishments, few more stamps and bam...a whole new card!!

I used the Open Sea stamp set, which I am super excited to say has become a write-in item for the remainder of this stamping year!  Yay, it's not discontinued!!  This stamp set is perfect for masculine cards.  I used only the Open Sea stamp set and Little Friends stamp set (for the little Happy Birthday sentiment).  Both cards are made with Marina Mist, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, and Early Espresso.  Fun colors to work with, masculine, yet bright.

This first card is for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  Clean and Simple!

The second version is for Create with Connie and Mary.  A few extra embellishments and some Crystal Effects for a whole new card!

I had so much fun stamping this week...I escaped to my mother-in-law's cabin with her and my daughter for a stamp-a-thon while my husband demolished our downstairs bathroom (gotta love remodeling!).  So far the dust has settled, however new dust will be started as the building begins!  In the meantime, I will just be sneezing...A LOT!!  And I will be posting some of the new projects I made while on Stamp-cation:). Stay Tuned!

Here's my construction zone:

  1. What a great idea to take a simple card and step it up. Really shows how you can do both cards using the same basic sketch. Thanks for playing with us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

  7. How fun to get a new bathroom. So much fun to redo something from beginning to end. Kind of like seeing a blank sheet of Card stock turn into a card. :) Anyways, I love that you made your clean and simple card and then stepped it up. Love the color combo and the clean lines. Thank you for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
