I used the Open Sea stamp set, which I am super excited to say has become a write-in item for the remainder of this stamping year! Yay, it's not discontinued!! This stamp set is perfect for masculine cards. I used only the Open Sea stamp set and Little Friends stamp set (for the little Happy Birthday sentiment). Both cards are made with Marina Mist, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, and Early Espresso. Fun colors to work with, masculine, yet bright.
This first card is for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge. Clean and Simple!
The second version is for Create with Connie and Mary. A few extra embellishments and some Crystal Effects for a whole new card!
I had so much fun stamping this week...I escaped to my mother-in-law's cabin with her and my daughter for a stamp-a-thon while my husband demolished our downstairs bathroom (gotta love remodeling!). So far the dust has settled, however new dust will be started as the building begins! In the meantime, I will just be sneezing...A LOT!! And I will be posting some of the new projects I made while on Stamp-cation:). Stay Tuned!
Here's my construction zone:

As always, all products used were Stampin' UP!:
Stamps: Open Sea & Little Friends
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Early Espresso & Whisper White
Ink: Marina Mist & Early Espresso
Punches: 1 1/4"Circle, 1" Circle, Hole Punch
Embellishments & Accessories: White Bakers Twine, Metallic Brads, Crystal Effects
What a great idea to take a simple card and step it up. Really shows how you can do both cards using the same basic sketch. Thanks for playing with us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Great colors and images! They remind me so much of the ocean. Love that you showed the simple version then stepped it up. Thanks for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you recreated the card to meet both challenges. It IS a whole new card by adding a few accents. Love them both! Can't wait to see how your bathroom turns out, how exciting. Thank you for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.

ReplyDeleteHi Krystal! So cool to see the same card, two ways. The color combo is so fresh and fun, too. I absolutely LOVE the way you accented that anchor with the Crystal Effects! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how your card can be dresed up for a more instense card level, I love htis card! I think that this would be fab for a workshop too to show how you can make it simple and easy or add more layers and make it more difficutl. Thanks so much for sharing at HSS.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to get a new bathroom. So much fun to redo something from beginning to end. Kind of like seeing a blank sheet of Card stock turn into a card. :) Anyways, I love that you made your clean and simple card and then stepped it up. Love the color combo and the clean lines. Thank you for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
