I am going to have to make this one a short post tonight...
I have had a need for sympathy cards recently and I realized it is one type of card I haven't really made. So I played along with Freshly Made Sketches to come up with my design.
I wanted something that would be subdued but still interesting so I used Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake, and Marina Mist Cardstock to make this card. The flower image comes from Stampin' UP's Fancy Flower set. The background was embossed in the Big Shot using Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. I am still playing with my new items from the 2012 Occassions Mini...The Adorning Accents Edgelits and Embossing Folders were used to make the decorative edge on the side piece.
The flower was stamped in Bravo Burgundy Ink then colored in with Water Color Crayons. I used Crystal Effects to give it dimension.
For the sentiment, I used the Petite Pairs Stampin UP! stamp set. That set has a great combination of sayings:).
